It Starts Small

DO you ever wished you had someone that could go ahead of you and make sure everything is good and ready for you to arrive? That they could work out all the details and fix any problems before you even get there?

Would is surprise you to learn that God is that person?

There is a tremendous comfort in knowing this is exactly what God does! Whether it is the footsteps on this earth or the knowledge He has of our every step, out God goes before us. His feet have already walked the path ahead and He makes the path we step into.

As we walk this path, we will face unknown turns, hills and valleys. The path might be rocky with unseen pot holes. Such is the path of life, especially when dealing with people. Our job is to stay the course and not “loose” it. Our job is to “find” it.

“It” is the stability and comfort that can only come from Jesus. He will hold everything together. It is hard to wrap our minds around how everything is held together. This is where our faith shines the brightest! Our hope is not in understanding. We are not always going to understand how it all works out, but our faith trusts that Jesus is ahead of us, plowing the way and holding it together.

Today, let us take time to thank our God for the confidence that we have because He has provided a path forward that He has already taken.

• What does your path look like today? Are you on a hill? Deep in the valley? Stumbling over a boulder? Falling into a pothole?
• Do you truly trust Jesus is ahead of you? Are you seeking his footsteps? Whose footsteps are you following?
