You are Victorious!

We are in a constant battle. Because our world is fallen we constantly battle temptations and evil.

I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.”

John 16:33

Jesus tells us that in this world we will have trials and tribulations. Jesus never once said we would live this carefree, unicorns, butterflies, and glittery rainbow all is perfect lives. He told us to take heart because HE has overcome the world.

Now we have Jesus living on the inside of us through the Holy Spirit. The One who conquered death, sin, hell, and evil dwells within you! Whenever we go through circumstances, there is no way to obtain victory in our own ability and strength. We need Jesus, the conqueror. We have to lean upon Him and His Word to be victorious in this world.

You are from God, little children, and you have conquered them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

1 John 4:4

Greater is He, Jesus, who is in us, than he (the devil) who is in this world! Repeat that as many times as you need to! It is evil that causes all the crazy things to happen in this world. We go through troubles, tribulations, trials, temptations, and testing because we have an adversary who will always try to discourage us and attack us from EVERY angle possible. Evil has no holds and nothing is off limits.

I want to encourage you today that satan is a defeated foe. He has been put to shame and exposed. When you lean upon the greater One, Jesus, in YOU, you are guaranteed surpassing victory every time. We are more than conquerors in Christ! No matter what you are facing, in the middle of, or what dark valley you are journeying through, I urge you to lean upon Him! He will see you through!

  • What stands in the way of victorious living? Fear? Doubt?
  • Can you stand today confidently declaring that you are more than a conqueror in Christ?
  • Has your current situation or circumstances become a distraction in your relationship with your Heavenly Father?
  • How does today’s verse encourage or challenge you today?
