Christmas is about God.
Christmas is the story of God the Father sending His son to be born as the God-man.
Christmas is the story that God initiated salvation and God ultimately accomplished the sacrifice of God.
The people and events surrounding Jesus’ birth are not impressive because they were displaying a God who is. Mary and Joseph were a couple of scared teenagers. Bethlehem was a tiny town on the outskirts of Jerusalem. Jesus was born in what we call a barn in modern terms.
Christmas was accomplished by God.
This Christmas eve or Christmas mornings, we read the story of Jesus. Let our response be: Look what God has done! Lets us join the heavenly host and declare it by singing Glory to God!
Ponder: As we we spend the day on the eve of a day we celebrate the greatest gift given to us, how can we glorify God today, tomorrow, and the rest of our days?
