New Character Study Guide: Leah

This was a really hard “workbook” to put together, but a story that resonates so closely with my own testimony. SO many of us can relate to her life.

Leah’s story teaches us to root our identity in God. Not whom your parents say you are. Not whom the broken relationships say you are. Not even your past or present situation has the power or authority to say who you are. Your past sin has no power or authority to speak who you are.

Only our Creator, the Lord God Almighty has the power and authority to say who you are!

As we dive into the story of Leah we see God do something that only God can do. He takes a woman who has been rejected, unwanted, unloved, and with no connection and He fills those deepest desires in her heart. He did not remove her from her situation but He filled her heart with peace and joy! Leah teaches us to trust God’s plan and to embrace His grace for our lives.

There was an even bigger plan God had for her life!

In the comments you will find a link to a free printable workbook. The workbook covers five aspects we can learn from Leah’s life:

  • Finding Joy in Adversity
  • Trusting in God’s Plan
  • Finding Fulfillment in God’s Purpose
  • God’s Grace and Favor
  • The Importance of Self-Acceptance

In each section we dive deep into surveying our own heart. This study leads us into deep introspection of who we believe we are and who God says we are. I pray this study brings Truth and breakthrough for those who struggle with rejection, abandonment, and connection.
