Small or big, what is God calling you to do today?
Today, we look at how courageously a woman stepped out of her comfort zone to help save a father-son relationship.
When we consider our God given dreams, our natural courage and strength often is replaced with fear. God will never leave us and He will always equip us with what we need to accomplish His will.
God often asks us to do things we are unqualified for and unprepared to do. Pursuing God’s calling typically stretches our faith and can be uncomfortable. Fear ushers in doubt and keeps us from moving forward. We do not have to embrace fear. God is ready to help and all we need to do is simply say “Yes.” Then embrace His courage and take the first step.
King David missed his son, but was unwilling to forgive him. So David’s commander devised a plan that included a wise woman from Tekoa. When the woman approached David, she spoke her story and revealed her real intentions to him. As a result her faith and willingness to courageously step forward outside her comfort zone, David agreed to bring Absalom home and the two were reunited.
Courageously Step forward by asking these questions:
- What hopes and dreams has God laid on my heart?
- What gifts and talents has God given me?
- What steps can I take to pursue God’s calling?
- Who can I call to encourage me and support me as I step out of my comfort zone?
God blesses and restores us when we step out with His courage of our comfort zones to embrace His courage and take action.
What is God encouraging you to do today?
