It Starts Small

Do you try to “fix” things yourself before going to God in Prayer?

If you need a miracle, our scripture this morning is going to help us reach out to God for divine healing for our heart, our mind, and our bodies.

²⁰ Just then, a woman who had suffered from bleeding for twelve years approached from behind and touched the end of his robe, ²¹ for she said to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I’ll be made well.”

²² Jesus turned and saw her. “Have courage, daughter,” he said. “Your faith has saved you.” And the woman was made well from that moment.

Matthew 9:20-22

God wants us to seek healing for ourselves, not just others. He tells us in His Word to put our worries to the side and pray for everything with a spirit of thanksgiving. He assures us that His peace will guard our hearts and our minds no matter what comes our way — IF we believe.

God is still doing miracles, today! He wants us to be whole in our mind, body and spirit. When we pray for healing, seek His will, and allow Him t lead the way, we can rest assured that He will provide the answers we need and healing we seek. Sometimes He can heal us quickly, or we may recover gradually, but one way or another, we are healed according to His will. (Hebrews 2:4).

In today’s passage, we read about a woman who was considered unclean and shunned but not just her family, but all of the community. SHe risked public humiliation and mostly likely severe punishment in order to reach out to Jesus. She believed Christ was her only hope to healing. He courageously trusted Him with her life.

With just one Word from our Savior, she was healed from her bleeding and suffering.

Courageously seek healing by praying:

• Thank the Lord for His many blessings.
• Give the Lord your specific requests for you and others.
• Thank the Lord for His healing -past, present, future – even if it is not the way you desire.
• Remain confident in the Lord’s promise to heal according to what He knows is best.

God wants us to exercise our faith. He wants us to come to Him for healing. He wants to heal us according to His will in His perfect timing.
