It Starts Small

Rest.

We can never truly rest in Jesus if we are constantly trying to fill our souls with affirmations and the admiration of others. It wears us down and wears us out.

Rest. What is rest?

Rest comes when we are not dancing for others and jockeying for position in their hearts and minds.

Rest only comes when, by God’s grace and power, the chains that bind us to the care of what others think and say are broken. When we are truly able to attach ourselves (our value) to Him and Him alone, we can find rest. Only in this place of rest can we truly love.
