It Starts Small

I have to be honest, this has been on the back burner since June. I just felt the Lord was leading me to hold on to this and for whatever reason to Him, now is the time to set it out there.

Something I miss most about no longer living in the mountains of Colorado are the hummingbirds. This last June I was thinking about how much I missed them. It has been said that 3/4 of the population migrating, never make it to their breeding grounds. It is no wonder. They are so tiny and precious. I wondered what sort of courage and strength God gives them to keep going. They travel 1000s of miles to get from South America to that little place in the mountains of Colorado.

²⁶ Consider the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they?

Matthew 6:26

I am guessing it is instinct that keeps them going to and from, but what about us humans? How do we sojourn through this life with strength and courage? What does that even mean? How do we receive God’s strength and courage when we know ours will fail?

Some of the days in this series were be scripture intensive. We might be reading full chapters or several scriptures, so the journal is much longer than usual. I tried to give you plenty of room to write each of the verses out. You might also find that verses are repeated. That is not a mistake or typo.

The scripture only graphic will be two separate graphics. I could not legibly fit all the scriptures on one graphic.

I pray this series encourages us to dig deeper into the Word of God to really grasp a hold and receive His strength and courage. I pray the women of the Bible, history, and current times encourage our walks and give us an example to see and follow.
