His Hand

Psalm 139 is a beautiful passage of scripture that explains the personal presence of God. It reveals to us how well He knows us!

No matter where we are in life, we can feel lonely. We can feel like people around us know our name, but not many really know who we are. No one “gets us.” Even if we are married, have a close circle of friends, attend small group gatherings, we feel unknown and misunderstood. It rare to feel like someone really understands our heart.

That is what is so wonderful about this Psalm. Tucked in scripture we learn something wonderful about our God. Not only is our Creator, He has been with us every moment. He is acutely aware of every single thought we have. He knows where we are and our movements. He knows our dreams. He knows our fears and insecurities. He knows everything there is to know about us. He truly “gets us!”

Our passage today reminds us that God is with us wherever we go today. He is ahead of us. He followed behind us yesterday. Best of all, right now in this very moment, he places his hand of gracious blessing on your head!

Our Heavenly Father knows us very intimately. He knows all about everything there is to us. He knows the mistakes. He knows the victories. He knows the fears and courage. He knows your heart.

  • DO you feel misunderstood and lonely in your Journey?
  • How does knowing God is always there challenge your loneliness?
