It Starts Small

Imagine being a woman without access to feminine hygiene products. Imagine having no access to stores or no money to buy the very products you need to take care of yourself and keep yourself healthy. All you have are a few rags, and you only have a couple of pairs of underwear, and you don’t even have access to clean water to wash yourself. Seems unlikely, but this is the case for thousands and thousands of women and teen girls in Africa.

Your donation today gives women of all ages and teenage girls the gift of compassion, love, and dignity. Your donation gives a woman or teenage girl the gift of new clean underwear, sanitary wipes, and sanitary napkins. Imagine what this gift means to her. She has a basic need met and can go about her day without worry of having to hide her natural condition. She has what she needs to confidently go about her day working and taking care of her family and responsibilities without fear of bleeding through her clothes or exposing herself to unhealthy conditions to take care of what is natural to a woman.

You show this woman compassion and confidence because you understand this time of the month. You know the importance of having access to clean products and the items needed to take care of oneself.

You show this woman or teenage girl love by giving to a need. You let her know she is seen. She doesn’t have to suffer through something that is a beautiful part of being a woman. You allow her to find confidence that she is seen and someone cares.

You give this woman or teenage girl dignity. No woman should be without the basic needs to take care of what comes naturally to a woman.

You are not just giving them basic essential access to meeting a need, you are giving her a sense of dignity and confidence. You are also opening the door to my friend being able to be-friend these women and young women and create a lasting relationship. Through friendship and giving, you are opening the door to the Gospel. Jesus first met the physical needs, then the emotional needs, and finally our spiritual need. You are opening the door for a physical need to be met and giving each woman the emotional need to be seen and given a sense of confidence and dignity.
