It Starts Small

I pray this month that your heart has been shaken and stirred, encouraged and challenged to know who your Creator says you are!

These 30 truths we have walked through this last month are so important to write on our hearts. God’s Word makes it clear that evil, the devil and his minions, is a liar.

You are of your father the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.

John 8:44

Now that you know the truth about who God says you are, the devil is going to work overtime at attacking the truth you know. He will work through your thoughts to get you to doubt. He will bring others or use people already in your life to speak doubt into your heart about the truth. When you know the truth you are turning fear back upon evil.

It is a bold and courageous step to chose to believe what God says and not what the world and evil says. You are taking a vital step in faith towards God’s will and purpose in your life. Evil hates this and will send attack after attack to get you knocked off the path of the Lord.

How can you deal with them?

1. Speak truth over evil. Whatever it tries to get you to believe or to doubt, speak truth over it. Quote God’s Word in response! This is why it is important to memorize scripture. You are memorizing the truth of what God has to say about you.
2. Decide to make every effort in stopping unwanted thoughts. Evil is crafty at whispering small thoughts of doubt. When those thoughts come, speak truth over them and declare over your life what the Lord has spoken about you.
3. Separate yourself from those who continually put you down and speak condemnation over you. They are not your creator and have no say in who you are.
4. Keep in the Word of God. Keep studying and reading and soaking in the Word of God. Our strength, boldness, and courage is found in His truth.
5. Pray for God to give you discernment, through the Holy Spirit, over thoughts and what is spoken to you by others.
6. Decide every single morning that you are God’s child and no one can steal that away from you or speak any different.

I have made this graphic for you to save to your device. You can print this and hang it in your prayer room, next to your bathroom mirror, or keep it in your bible. When you are in the thick of battle, repeat these truths and remind yourself who you are. You can create your own unique card to pull out when you need it most.

I use something similar and speak them outload when I am battle my thoughts or memory.

I pray you can confidently say: Heavenly Father, I know who I am!
