It Starts Small

When we received Christ as our Savior we were buried with Him and rose with Him as a new creation. Each of us are now seated with Him in the heavenly realms.

Let us pause a moment and let that really sink into the depths of our hearts.

We are not just sitting in the average or mediocre section. We are ALL sitting with the King of kings and Lord of lords! We are not divided based upon knowledge, looks, financial status, gender… NO, SISTER! We are equally sitting together with Christ! He makes no distinction between us. We are given a position of domination and authority because we are united with Jesus Christ!

Does this truth make you want to jump up and shout praise to the Lord?

It does me! This means that I have domination and authority over evil through Christ. I am not weak and powerless. I am strong and powerful through Him. So when evil comes door-to-door selling the temptation of sin, I rebuke him and send him fleeing. When evil tries to gossip about my Lord and Savior or Heavenly Father, I speak truth and the Word. When Evil sends waves and wind, I kneel and pray to my Heavenly Father to quiet the storm or make a way through it. Why? Because HE grants me that power through Christ.

The devil works hard with his minions to lie to you. If you discover all it takes is trusting in Christ and making Him your King, you are given the power to tell him and his group of dysfunctional to flee. They have to obey! The truth is we are given this authority and domination over the devil and his wicked schemes and at any moment you can tell him to back off and flee, not because of who you are, but WHOSE you are!

You are not average. You are not a “nobody.” You have resurrecting life within you and in you is the position of authority to speak the Word of God, believe the Word of God by faith, and to see situations change. Do you know how much this terrifies the enemy? Think about it, sister. This means he can not fool you into believing lies and steering you off course. He looses his grip over you.

You have Jesus living on the inside of you through the Holy Spirit. Stand tall. Pick your head up. Speak the unfailing Word of God over your life because God’s Word does not return void.

Things to Ponder:

• What area of your life do you need to speak God’s Truth over today?
• What lies of of the enemy do you need to speak truth over today?
• Have you embraced your seat next to Christ? Have you taken up your chair and realized that you are given the power, through the Holy Spirit, to speak God’s Word over the enemy?
• What about today’s scripture challenges or encourages you today?
