You are Destined to Succeed.

We are Seen.
We are Heard.
We are Loved.
We are never Alone.
We are the daughter of the Most High.
We are Protected.
We are Provided for.
We are meant to Succeed.

How many this morning have ever failed?
Failed in the big?
Failed in the Small?
How many struggle with identifying your failures as part of who you are?

Sister, that is a lie! With God by your side, you can not fail because when you are obedient to do what He says, there is a blessing on the other side. DO you realize that for every learned failure there is a new opportunity in obedience? Failure is only failure when we fail to apply the Word of God to them.

God does not expect perfection, He demands obedience. He knows we are going to have failures, but in the midst of failure is the opportunity to learn something about Him and ourselves. When we take the knowledge of what we learn and apply it to tomorrow, we have no longer failed! Wisdom is taking knowledge and putting feet to it. That is not failure, that is victory!

God gives us the power to be successful and He promises to bless the work of our hands when we are obedient to do His will. This is the mindset of the Lord and He wants to bless every part of our lives and give us a godly success that will last.

God established the Abrahamic covenant, also known as “The Blessing of Abraham” on those who have faith like Abraham. Abraham had faith and believed God.

Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.

Genesis 15:6

We are heirs according to the promise given to him.

And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, heirs according to the promise.

Galatians 3:29

These are the promises established in Deuteronomy 28!

“Now if you faithfully obey the Lord your God and are careful to follow all his commands I am giving you today, the Lord your God will put you far above all the nations of the earth. All these blessings will come and overtake you, because you obey the Lord your God:

You will be blessed in the city
and blessed in the country.
Your offspring will be blessed,
and your land’s produce,
and the offspring of your livestock,
including the young of your herds
and the newborn of your flocks.
Your basket and kneading bowl will be blessed.
You will be blessed when you come in
and blessed when you go out.

“The Lord will cause the enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you. They will march out against you from one direction but flee from you in seven directions. The Lord will grant you a blessing on your barns and on everything you do; he will bless you in the land the Lord your God is giving you. The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he swore to you, if you obey the commands of the Lord your God and walk in his ways. 10 Then all the peoples of the earth will see that you bear the Lord’s name, and they will stand in awe of you. 11 The Lord will make you prosper abundantly with offspring, the offspring of your livestock, and your land’s produce in the land the Lord swore to your ancestors to give you. 12 The Lord will open for you his abundant storehouse, the sky, to give your land rain in its season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow. 13 The Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you will only move upward and never downward if you listen to the Lord your God’s commands I am giving you today and are careful to follow them. 14 Do not turn aside to the right or the left from all the things I am commanding you today, and do not follow other gods to worship them.

Deuteronomy 28:1-14

(Bold for emphasis)

I want to look closely at verse 12. It is in bold above. SO many of us try to find blessings and success in everything other than God who established the blessing in the first place. When a believer grabs this promises and believes that God wants to bless them with success, that is when they start to see the blessing operate in their lives.

I want you to understand and encourage you to know that God wants you to be blessed! God wants you to be successful. God wants to use you as a blessing in the lives of others and it is through obedience to His Word and His will that brings it.

Whatever you seek, ask the Lord for His hand to guide your path and direct your life. He will only lead you to prosper.

Thoughts to Ponder:

  • Has failure become chains and bondage to your life?
  • Do you believe that God identifies us by our failures?
  • What can you do today to turn a failure into victory?
  • What encourages you today or challenges you today?
