I am not sure in my lifetime I will ever come to a full understanding of the love of Christ. His love for me is beyond what this woman’s feeble mind can comprehend. Just as I think I know, He moves in a deeper more meaningful way that blows what I understood out of the water.
Do you truly understand how much you are loved?
You are loved so much that Jesus went to the cross for you. No one put Jesus on the cross. He went willingly. He allowed himself to be beat and scourged for you. He allowed himself to be whipped and carried a cross to calvary for you. As the nails pierced His skin, He remembered you. Before you ever knew Jesus, He chose to die for on the cross. But get this, nothing you do will ever will increase Jesus’ love nor will anything you do cause Him to turn His love for you away.
It does not matter what the enemy says!
You are of your father the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.
John 8:44
The enemy is a liar and the father of lies.
Did you make mistakes?
Did you find yourself in tough situations?
Whatever you have done will not make Jesus love you any less, He loved you before you make those mistakes. He loves you know past all your mistakes. Jesus’ love is unconditional and there are no strings attached. Jesus loves you despite your flaws. People may have hurt you or even left you because of your mistakes, but Jesus will never leave your side. Jesus did not hurt you or betray you.
In our first day of discovering or rediscovering who we are in Christ it is important for us to grasp that Jesus and His love for you will never falter or fail. His love will never be conditional or based off of how righteous or ungodly you were today. Jesus’ love is not here today and gone tomorrow. Jesus love is something that can not be manipulated, altered or separated from.
You ARE loved! In Christ you ARE loved!
Today let us ponder:
- DO I believe that Jesus loves me no matter what circumstances I have gotten myself in, what sin I have committed or what struggles I am going through?
- DO I believe that Jesus loves me unconditionally? DO I understand what unconditional love is?
- Have I projected the pain and suffering caused by other whom I thought loved me onto Him?
- What do I struggle to believe about the love of Christ?
