On the last pages of God’s Word we see the final mention of Christmas. This Christmas story comes from a heavenly perspective. To the average onlooker in Bethlehem would have seen a couple teenagers and shepherds gathered around a baby. But the war of eternity was raging all around them. Satan knew the Messiah was coming into the world. He knew Jesus was coming to free His people from the grips and power of Satan who was bent on destroying them. God sent His Son into the heart of enemy territory to crush the head of the serpent promised was at the start of Genesis.
God had made His promised move. Salvation had come for all people. It was only a matter of time before Jesus would usher in a new kingdom, defeat death and Satan, and claim the throne over all nations.
Christmas morning was a display of God’s sure and mighty power.
