Jesus was made lower.
Lets ponder on that for a moment.
The God who made the angels made Himself lower than His own creation.
Imagine a potter being seen as lesser than his own creation. Imagine a painting receiving more merit than the painter. Seems crazy, yet this is the context of Christmas. Jesus was made lower than His own creation to be born in human flesh. He did this so His own creatures could find their way back to their creator.
Christmas is the passionate pursuit of God after His own people.
