CHRISTmas Advent Scripture Writing Plan and Journal

Good Morning Friends!

I pray your Thanksgiving Day was blessed with the sharing of your faith, good food, and amazing fellowship! I think I ate way too much pecan pie!

I am so excited to share with you this morning, a week before December 1st a new scripture writing plan!

I try to approach God’s Word as if I knew nothing. How many times have we gathered on Sunday morning and when the preacher announces the topic, we lie to ourselves that we know everything there is to know about that topic? Before too long, we are making grocer lists, thinking about the week ahead, or scrolling through social media. Approaching God’s Word with an attitude that we do not know it all, humbles our hearts to hear something new about the same truth.

For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart Hebrews 4:12

I pray as we begin the Christmas advent season, the Lord open our hearts to learning something deeper than just a story about the arrival of Christ in a manger.

Starting December 1st, we will travel from one end of God’s Word to the other end the story of Jesus and it is truly a miracle in so many ways. Not just an ordinary birth, but a birth that took a supernatural miracle. I invite you to join me in each day, to read and ponder a deep meaning within the Word of God, to open our hearts to the Holy Spirit to speak new perspective into our hearts.

You can download the journal from my website HERE. There is a scripture only image you can use to follow along each day. I also have a Facebook Group set up you can join to receive a verse each day with a bit of commentary. Come join the conversation as we celebrate Christ!
