living God’s way.

No matter where we are in life, odds are that we are all thinking about the future. Maybe you are a student getting ready to graduate, a you manager plotting the next career move, a parent seeking the best for your children. We are all making decisions today that will affect the rest of our lives.

With each choice we are trying to create the best life possible for ourselves and those you love. What I have discovered through this long valley is that only God can help us live a life that is truly extraordinary.

When we place our hope in temporal things such as money, social status, achievements, acceptance, or the love of others, our foundation is going to crumble. Worldly comforts are no defense for life’s hurricanes and tornados. Our identity must be in something greater than what the world offers. If we want to stand strong we need an identity that will not falter.

There’s an old saying that goes, life is not about who you are, but whose you are.

Being able to answer this question is extremely important because it has essentially everything to do with your personal relationship with God. It has everything to do with what sort of future we have. Our greatest challenge in life is not how much we have in the bank, who we are loved and accepted by, or any other “godly” label we slap on each other. Our greatest challenge is to get to know our Creator and in the process, get out of His way so he can move in and through us.

God has a very distinct purpose for our lives. Gods wants us to understand that purpose. When we can truly accept and embrace how beloved we are, we can see how great a calling for our life He has. We begin to get this sense of desire growing within us to live all for Him.

God’s Word is full of principles for walking with Him. I call them principles and not rules, because with rules, there’s always a loop hole that can be found. Principles are set of truth God gives us that can not be avoided or ducked around. God’s Word teaches us how to live lives with strength, passion, and commitment as we grow in faith to Him.

The next few days (9) I am going to focus writing on the 9 principles that have helped me to live a life committed to Him. These are truths from His Word that Hod has used to reveal His plans and purposes and I believe they can help you. It is God’s pattern of success, hope, peace and victory.

For I know the plans I have for you”  — this is the Lord’s declaration — “plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬ ‭CSB‬‬

Becoming the masterpiece God created us to be is a life long process. He is continually shaping us into unique reflections of His Son, Jesus Christ. My hope is that you will prayerfully embrace these principles and discover the extraordinary life God has planned for us!

Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus — the great Shepherd of the sheep  — through the blood of the everlasting covenant, equip you with everything good to do his will, working in us what is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭CSB‬‬
