goodness and blessing

You can never out give God.

Have you ever thought about that? We can never out give God. Malachi, the Old Testament prophet, believed and teaches us this principle. Through him, God teaches us to bring Him full tithes.

Bring the full tenth into the storehouse so that there may be food in my house. Test me in this way, “ says the Lord of Armies. “See if I will not open the floodgates of heaven and pour out a blessing for you without measure.” Malachi 3:10 CSB

To tithe is to give a percentage of our income to God for His work. All that we have, every penny, is a gift from God. A tithe is a portion of what he has already given to us. If we obey God’s Word and cheerfully give the portion He’s requested, He will bless us and the work of His kingdom. Tithing is an act of obedience. God does not need “our” money, He only wants our obedience. When we give back, He greatly blesses.

God challenges us to give Him the privilege to prove Himself.

Repeat that sentence.

God challenges US to give HIM the privy edge to PROVE HIMSELF!

Honor the Lord with your possessions and with the first produce of your entire harvest; then your barns will be completely filled, and your vats will overflow with new wine. Proverbs 3:9-10 CSB

How can I repay the Lord for all the good he has done for me?” Psalms 119:12

This question by the Palmist could be rewritten: How can I repay the Lord for all His goodness toward me?

Honestly, the answer is we can not. No can because no one can ever out give the Lord. When you begin to tithe what is His to start with, He begins to bless your life in many ways. This is not a how to get rich quick scheme he devises. In my own testimony, sometimes I have extra left over after tithes and my bills are paid. It is almost always the case, He has purpose for it. There always seems to be a need and I am always ready to give. He is faithful in His promises to, fill our store houses beyond what we could imagine.
