I had someone tell me that it was too late for me. That because I was not in obedience to God I would just return to my old ways and that God deemed it was too late for me. They used a passage of scripture to justify (just-a-lie) their position. I had a huge problem with this.

First, the passage of scripture used was only partially correctand by correct it was a long stretch. This is a tactic of evil. Satan, in the garden gave a partial truth. He present to Eve that God told them they could not eat from the trees in the garden. Of course we know, God said to them they could were not to eat from one tree. Satan, his demons, and followers will use partial truths with a lie. This passage had nothing to do with God saying it is too late for people to be redeemed.

Second, the scripture used and their assessment of God contradicted other scripture in the Word of God of who God is.

Third, there was not an ask of accountability. As brothers and sisters in Christ we are to come to each other and ask each other to be accountable for our sins. The problem is, I had been “forgiven” by this person, so they were not asking for accountability in a wrong doing. To be honest I have no idea what the point of communication was….except a work of evil to attack the character of God and attach who God says I am.

That is the framework of the work of evil. Evil seeks to destroy God’s Character, destroy the work on the cross by Jesus, and destroy who God says we are. It got me to thinking about how evil is smooth to slip in half truths and lies. He does it through those willing to do his bidding and through the thoughts in our minds.

This writing is for my brothers and sister in CHrist who are struggling with other professed “christians” and the voice of evil trying to convince them that it is too late for them. The voice that say you have sinned too much. The voice that says God will never use you.

never too late

I have grown to love all of God’s Word! I always say this scripture or that scripture is wonderful, amazing, awesome….but honestly all of God’s Word is amazing!

God is a God of change! He never changes his character, but He is always doing a new thing and working behind the scenes in our lives to bring about new beginnings. Where we see failure, God see potential for something new. Where we stumble and fall short, God has our comeback. When we messed up “plan A”, God already has a “plan b.”

19 Look, I am about to do something new;
even now it is coming. Do you not see it?
Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness,
rivers in the desert.

Isaiah 43:19

Let us let these words sink into us. God says I am going to do something new! IT is never too late to begin again. God is on our side and promises to make a way in the wilderness and even rivers in the desert.

God will never give up on us, but we can give up on God. We get this idea that he no longer cares about us. We get upset with Him because he does not answer prayer the way we want Him to. We lose Hope because our hope was rooted in selfish desire and not in Christ. We give up on Him, but He never gives up on us.

Our sins can drive us far from God, but even then, He still loves us and yearns for us to repent and turn to Him for the forgiveness and help we need.

15 But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God,
slow to anger and abounding in faithful love and truth
.
Psalm 86:15

When others tell you it is too late, or satan assaults your mind with the idea it is too late for you, it is a direct attack on the character of God. The verse in Psalms says that God is faithful. God has compassion towards us and understand where we are at. He patiently awaits for us to repent.

This type of false teaching and evil words are in direct contradiction to God’s promise to never leave us. How can God promise to never leave us and at the sametime give up on us? DO you see the lunacy in the lie of satan?

The Lord is the one who will go before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or abandon you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8

Only the words of evil will contradict the Word of God. We have to be careful of how satan will use a small bit of truth smeared with lies to get us to question the character of God or question who God says I am.

Friend, it does not matter how far or deep into sin you are. If you have truly confessed Christ as your Savior and you have received Him, you repent today. You can turn away from your old nature and He promises to restore you and reconcile your relationship with our Heavenly Father. DO not ever let anyone tell you or drop thoughts in your mind that God gives up on you. It is NEVER too late for us to turn from our selfishness and pride, repent, and surrender our lives to Christ’s calling.

*I know someone is going to point out that yes, the Bible does say it is too late for some. This writing is in reference to Him not giving up on those He calls His own.
